The 1914 Chester County Jail, is a the museum that includes collections of Native American artifacts, firearms from the Revolutionary Era to the present, period costumes, relics of the Civil War... and apparently, ghosts.

It is reputedly haunted by a number of apparitions, including a leg seen disappearing into a wall, a guard, and a number of others that have been given names such as "Doc" and "The Trustee". Other reported phenomena include the movement of objects, male voices heard, and feelings of sadness. Investigative groups claim to have obtained visual anomalies on film and EVP recordings.

The jail was part of the Worlds Largest Ghost Hunt in 2019, hosts an annual event called Haunted Chester and is available for Ghost Tours and Investigations.
